Taking the plunge!

Every New Year's Day, the WRRC gets together and does a run, starting and ending at Johnny Mercer Pier on Wrightsville Beach. After a team picture, clothes are stripped and it's a dash into the ocean to start the new year, followed by the traditional coming year luck meal of black-eyed peas and cornbread.

It was a beautiful 46F, nary a breeze and strong sunshine to keep us warm, because, yeah, the water was still chilly! Happy New Year everyone!
